Bre Ladd is a former American volleyball player ranked #1 in the 2002 edition of the volleyball magazine Fab 50. Besides, Ladd is famous as the wife of former NBA star Luke Walton.
Despite her rising career in volleyball, Bre stopped playing after her college days. After she ended her sports career short, she has been living a low key life. However, her relationship with the basketball player, Walton, once again brought her into the media attention.

Bre was born Bre Filene Ladd on April 19, 1984, in Tucson, Arizona. She was born one of two children of father Bobb Ladd and mother Tamie Ladd. Bre has one sibling, an older brother, Josh Ladd. Bre holds an American nationality.
Talking about her educational background, Bre attended the Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson and graduated from there in 2002 with a major in community and public health.
Bre Ladd Won the Volleyball Player of the Year at High School
Bre started playing volleyball from her school days, and she started representing her school during her high school years. She was the volleyball star of her school.
As per Ladd’s player profile at the University of Arizona, she set the record at Canyon Del Oro High School with a total career kills of 971, career aces of 146, and career blocks of 146.
Bre was named the 2001 Gatorade National High School Volleyball Player of the Year. Besides, she was also named Tucson Citizen and the Arizona Republic Arizona State Player of the Year.
Bre is a Tall Woman
Most of the volleyball players are tall in comparison to the general public. However, Bre was one of the tallest women volleyball players in her high school and college. The former athlete stands 6 ft 1 inch or 185 cm tall. Yet, Bre and her husband, Luke Walton, have a height difference of over a half-foot. The former basketball player stands tall at 6 ft 8 inches or 203 cm.
She is fluent in Sign Language.
Bre Ladd studied community and public health in college. Besides being a talented volleyball player, she was a top-class student in academics as well. She was fluent in sign language during her college days.
Bre’s fluency in sign language led her to become a mentor for deaf students at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind.
Meanwhile, she had also made her mind to attend a nursing school after graduation. But it is not known if she studied nursing or not.
Bre Ladd Met Her Future Husband at College
The 36-year-old former volleyball star met her future husband, Luke Walton, at the University of Arizona in 2002. They got introduced to each other in their first meeting. And after a couple of years, Bre started dating Luke in 2005.
Bre and Luke remained as girlfriend-and-boyfriend for around seven years before they got engaged in 2012. Luke proposed to Bre on Christmas Eve 2012.
Is Happily Married with Two Children
Less than a year after Bre and Luke became engaged, they tied the knot on August 16, 2013, in Aspen, Colorado. Their destination wedding was attended by their friends and family members, including many basketball stars who played for L.A. Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The wedding was coordinated by Luke’s cousin, Harmony Walton of the Bridal Bar. Harmony is specialized in managing celebrity weddings.
Bre and her husband Luke, are blessed with two children. They gave birth to their first child, a son, Lawson Walton, in 2014. Two years later, they welcomed their second son. But they haven’t revealed their second son’s name.
Bre Ladd’s Spouse as Accused of Sexual Harassment
In April 2019, Bre’s hubby, Luke Walton, was accused of sexual harassment by former Spectrum SportsNet host Kelli Tennant. Kelli filed a civil lawsuit against the Sacramento Kings coach, who had appeared alongside her during his short broadcasting stint.
Tennant mentioned Luke called her in a hotel room where he pinned her on the bed before kissing her and groping her private parts. But Luke denied all her accusations saying they had met at the hotel, however, their meeting was short, sweet, and consensual. Meanwhile, Luke’s lawyer called Kelli “an opportunist, not a victim.”
Later, in August 2019, the investigators concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support her allegations. Eventually, in December, Tennant requested to drop the lawsuit. As per the records, her lawsuit was dismissed “with prejudice,” which means she can’t re-file the lawsuit.
