To escape his mother’s beatings, he found solace in making friends with stray dogs and spending the nighttime streets with them.

When Arnett learned of this, she quickly moved him to a boys’ group home where DMX discovered his passion for hip-hop music. He came up with his stage moniker, DMX, at this particular group home after playing an instrument of the same name.

Despite the fact that DMX seemed to have found success in his struggle to get away from his abusive mother, the two eventually made amends, with the rapper even proclaiming in a 2019 interview, “I love my mama.

The rapper’s journey to forgiveness started with a 2012 TV appearance on the VH1 reality series Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn when they reconciled after years of estrangement. The two started to heal their once-broken relationship after the tearful episode, and seven years later, in a 2019 article for GQ magazine, the rapper talked about still loving her in spite of everything that went wrong and having forgiven her as well.

In an interview, when Earl was asked if he loves his mother or not. He said,

 “That doesn’t mean I don’t love her. That doesn’t mean she’s the same person. Children don’t come with a f**king instruction manual. She was 20 when she had me. Four sisters; I’m the only boy. Maybe she didn’t know what to do with me. I found out I just knew things that she didn’t know when I was only six years old.”

The Death Of Arnett Simmons’s Son DMX

Hip-hop artist DMX, who used narcotics from a young age, was taken to the hospital on April 2, 2021, after having a heart attack at home. According to tabloids, the attack was the result of a drug overdose.

Despite spending roughly a week in the hospital, DMX’s health did not get any better; rather, he lost the ability to use several crucial organs. Ultimately, he passed away on April 9 of that year. And a cocaine-induced heart attack was given as the reason for his passing.

In an interview, Earl’s daughter said,

“Nothing will ever explain how I feel, how this whole situation feels. my twin, I love you. we were the same person as a whole and I’m glad to have been blessed with being your daughter. you were and will be remembered by me as funny, charismatic, emotional, real, understanding, and loving. grateful for all those talks that we got to have, I didn’t learn from you.”
